Updated 22 October 2026 · plain language; the whole policy is this page

This site collects almost nothing about you. Here is the whole of it, in 5 short parts.

What this site collects

  • The contact form. It has 3 fields: your name, your email and your message. They go to hello@douroday.com. They sit on the site's own server so you can get an answer. That is the only use. No list, no newsletter.
  • Server logs. Like every site, this one records the address your request came from, the page and the time. It is there for security. Nothing ties it to your name.
  • Analytics. The site counts which pages get read and which booking buttons get clicked. It does not get your name.
  • Nothing else. No account and no ad pixels. No advertising cookies, no chat widget.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies of its own and no advertising cookies. Analytics may set 2 of its own, _ga and a property cookie that starts with _ga_. They tell a returning visitor from a new one and last up to 2 years unless you clear them. You can block them in your browser, and the site works the same without them.

Links to other sites

Tour buttons open the booking page. Links to CP, IPMA, the museum and the quintas open their own sites. Each has its own policy. A booking link carries 2 partner parameters, an affiliate id and a campaign tag. They tell the booking platform the click came from douroday.com, so the commission on the disclosure page can be paid. They do not tell the platform who you are.

Your rights

Write to hello@douroday.com. Ask what the site holds about you, or ask to correct or delete it. You will hear back within 2 days. Form messages are deleted on request; otherwise they stay as long as the conversation is useful for a follow-up.

Who runs the site

douroday.com is an independent site written by Inês Carvalho. Reach the publisher at hello@douroday.com. This page changes only when the practice changes; the date at the top is the date of the last change.
